1. Electrical Guitar Company (www.electricalguitarcompany.com)
Purveyor of the finest custom aluminum instruments. I’ve been a player of Travis Bean aluminum neck guitars since1999 and discovered EGC a few years back. They have continued the Travis Bean tradition with some improvements to the design and even make a guitar with an aluminum neck and body.

I’m fascinated by the indestructibility of the components and multi-use capacity i.e. you can fight of zombies with it and still play it the next day.

One day earlier this year I was sitting on the deck of my father-in-law’s lake house in Hardy, Arkansas. I was daydreaming and I thought to myself, “It would be really cool to have a clear lucite Dan Armstrong style guitar with an aluminum neck. I wonder if EGC has ever made one?”

Moments later I went to eBay and to my surprise there was actually an EGC guitar on the site, beckoning me. It was a clear lucite Dan Armstrong style guitar. I literally imagined it into existence. Clearly this instrument would be mine. The next morning as the auction was ending I hiked up to the top of the hill and held my phone to the sky to get reception. I bid on it in the last few seconds of the auction but before my bid was confirmed the auction ended. I made a sad face. Then I got an email from eBay. I got it!

2. Emergency: This Book Will Save Your Life by Neil Strauss
If you’re looking for a book with life saving tips on going off the grid, survival, and escaping the country in the event of a total economic collapse, nuclear winter, zombie apocalypse, or catastrophic high humidity, this is the book for you. Side effects include: obsessive organization, paranoia, and worse case scenario expenditures.

3. Excelsior Dawes Hovercraft
After reading Emergency and in preparation for the coming apocalyptic inevitabilities, I decided to invest in an Excelsior Dawes Hovercraft. It’s a 179 foot military grade vessel with two stabilized multiple rocket launchers and four missile defense systems, with which we have successfully vaporized several rowboats of Somalian pirates.

The Excelsior has enough room for 140 people and it’s complete with living quarters, sauna, ice cream bar, and nuclear, biological and chemical protection areas. There’s a mini zoo for saving the three most important animals: eagles, wolves, and tigers. It also has a Wii, so naturally this is where Arma Secreta spends most of our time.

Editor’s Note: On the off chance that you are you craving massive amounts of raw rock with your turkey, we have your back!  Arma Secreta are set to release their new album Dependent Lividity at the Hi-Tone this week, on Thanksgiving…

Known to bring power and emotion to the stage, Arma Secreta is equipped with a beasty sound that floats somewhere between post-punk and hard rock. They’ll be backed by the always entertaining Mouserocket and packed with an incredibly strong album, so it’s definitely something you don’t want to miss!

Want a copy of the new album on vinyl plus two tickets to the record release show? Just leave a comment telling us what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving!
