Ardent Sessions: Big Smith

Big Smith is a band that will unapologetically turn a party into what’s known in some parts as a “hootenanny”. The band has garnered fans in every corner of the country in their 10 year history together and is the subject of a documentary called Homemade Hillbilly Jam about their music and the music of their extended family. The band has opened for such respected musicians as Emmylou Harris, Doc Watson, The Avett Brothers and the Del McCoury band and played everywhere from the Ozarks to Crappone, France.
